Phil Cannella on PhillyAdClub.com

As part of the 98.1 WOGL Loves Our Kids Radiothon, Phil Cannella, Joann Small, and the Crash Proof Retirement™ Team once again made a big splash by being the largest single donors of the event.  Cannella and his team even managed to top their previous donations, made in 2010 and 2011, of $50,000 by donating a jaw-dropping $65,000 to benefit the kids at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).

Philly Ad Club picked up the Radiothon story and posted it on their website (click here to read PhillyAdClub.com’s coverage of the event), giving Phil Cannella and Crash Proof Retirement™ some well-deserved recognition, along with everyone involved in the event.  Other local personalities were on hand, including Ross Brittain and Valerie Knight of the Breakfast Club, as well as DJ Cadillac Jack, CBS Radio Vice President Jim Loftus, and radio and dance party host Bob Pantano.

Bob Pantano held an event in conjunction with one of his weekly dance parties during which Phil Cannella made his generous donation, inviting friends and family of the Crash Proof Retirement™ team to come out and enjoy the festivities.  Also present were members of the CHOP team, including Robin Valentino, Director of Retail Cause Marketing and Children’s Miracle Network at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

As Phil Cannella and Joann Small presented their donation, the biggest surprise of the evening came when an anonymous donor called in to pledge an additional $10,000 to be added to the Crash Proof Retirement ™ team’s total, bringing it up to $65,000.  This donor, a listener and supporter of the Crash Proof Retirement Show ®, stated that he wanted to help Cannella spread some joy to the kids at CHOP.

This donation brings Crash Proof Retirement’s™ 3-year total donation up to $165,000, making it unlikely that anyone will remove them from their throne as the single largest donors in the history of the radiothon.
