Phil Cannella, Joann Small,
and the Crash Proof Retirement Team made a generous donation to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). The difference this year? They made an even larger donation than they have made in past years.
The donation was made as part of the WOGL 98.1 Loves Our Kids Radiothon, which provides donations for CHOP every year, helping the kids there get the care they so desperately need. The 2012 Radiothon brought in a total of $658,272 for a worthy cause, and the $65,000 donation by Cannella and Small was a significant portion of that.
Local radio DJ Cadillac Jack had nothing but kind words to say about Cannella, Small, and Crash Proof Retirement. As a member of the 98.1 WOGL team, Cadillac Jack has participated in past charity events, and has seen firsthand the generosity of Phillip Cannella. When interviewed by Bob Bumbera of the Crash Proof Retirement Show, Jack was effusive with praise, saying that being at the event made him feel “all googly-moogly.”
Phillip Cannella has been a part of past events, but said he looked forward to being a part of the Radiothon in 2012 as well.
“We plan to be a key financial presence this year too. When you give a child hope, you give a child a future. And that’s like a boomerang: It comes back to your soul and enlarges it. If we can ‘Crash Proof’ the way they look at life right now, it’s the best gift of all,” said Phil Cannella.
